A few generations ago, "Elvis the Pelvis" was blamed for the detrimental effects he had on the youth of the world. Now, we wouldn't think the gyrations of the King of Rock'n'Roll would amount to a hill of beans.

Sex, drugs, rock and roll, have all consistently been blamed for the perversion of youth. Just look at movies like "Reefer Madness", hilarious now, but made with deadly serious intent at the time.

My concerns lie chiefly in the "majority" being able to determine for me, personally, what is best for me. I've worn my seat-belt all my life while riding in and driving an automobile, yet a law was made to force the use of them upon people who freely chose not to do so. Motorcycle helmets, same thing, if you're dumb enough to ride without one, by all means, let natural selection work.

I'm picking at those two things, because they first sprang to mind as examples of unnecessary legislation.

The sadly provincial majority doesn't know what the dickens is best for me, they don't know me.

While we are outlawing violent things, let's make certain to do away with baseball, cricket, and tennis. Each of those sports promotes and inspires young and old alike to abuse, demoralize, and physically malign the spherical companions that inhabit the world with us.

That's a good idea though as I can see that if the game is so inspiring, and the theme is really very violent, the players get inspired at tines and do the game in real life and disturb or damage others!
